Again I get it these people will be out of work soon plus working in a substandard hotel they probably get a lot of complaints but you still have a "customer service" job to do. I called the front desk and asked why our room was not cleaned and not only did I not get an apology I actually got attitude.

After a full day at the beach we returned to our room a little after 5 to find no room service had been completed but thankfully the toilet had been fixed because I had run into the maintenance man. He also told me the hotel was being closed at the end of the season for a full renovation which helped make sense of the lack of smiles at the front desk. He was kind enough to call someone to go fix it right away. I told the girl at the front desk at 9am that we had an issue with our toilet and I just happen to run into the maintenance man at 1pm to find out no one told him anything about my leak. I woke up to my toilet leaking and then it wouldn't flush so we are rushing to get dressed so we could get to the bathroom in the foyer. My first day was okay since I got a great rate on the hotel and it was ocean view so I decided to suck it up since most of my time would be on the beach anyways. Initially everyone seemed very friendly but there was not a smile to be found behind the front desk from with girl on duty.
Given the wrong room type which of course meant another trip down to the urine foyer to get the correct room type. I joked with the girl about the smell and was told it was from the ocean, clearly I know this ocean does not smell like stale urine. The stench of urine that greets you in the foyer is enough to make you gag. It is evident as soon as you step inside this hotel that it is in disrepair. He also told me the hotel was being closed at the end of the season for.
