This is MAC Lipstick the iconic product that made MAC famous. The lipstick is slightly textured with the shimmer but not gritty. Feels virtually weightless and exceptionally creamy on the lips. I wanted to test out one of the new Rouge Volupté Perles to see how it felt with the shimmer etc. At $34 these are pricey! Also those familiar with the Rouge Volupté formula know they are super creamy and soft. I picked up 101 Beige Caress (a soft pinky-beige shimmer). Do note that the swatches on the YSL website are horribly off so don’t let that deter you from checking them out. I need to do a lot of tweaking in order for them to not look like concealer on my lips. As much as I love the regular YSL RVs, I find the lighter colors high maintenance. The colors are gorgeous and are easier to wear on the lips than the regular non-shimmer colors. YSL has released a collection of 6 new Rouge Volupté Perle Lipsticks ($34) and they are literally to-die-for.
Caress Pink is the most wearable of all of their pinks in this group. YSL Rouge Volupte is their newest formula, and maybe my favorite lippie formula of all time. I had a brief but passionate love affair with all things Awake a few years ago.

Overall, A great lipstick for fair skin tones… Not a must have shade from MAC.I’m not the biggest YSL fan but I do love their Rouge Volupté Lipsticks (see previous review here) and Golden Glosses (see review here and here). A softer and more sheer pink that I love, a bit more on the mauvey side, is Awake Desert Rose. Lasting power is good, well through 4-5 hours Smooth, creamy application even on dry lips Great pigmentation goes on opaque in 1-2 swipes! If you are looking for a bright Barbie pink, this might be the soulmate But fisrt try it on yourself at the store and observe yourself under natural light to make sure it’s worth your 1450 INR otherwise but It has an awful tendency to settle and highlight the fine lines and dry patches on lips so be careful and try to exfoliate before application The lasting power of the lipstick is awesome as always and lasts a good 4-5 hours before fading into a pink tint. What I do is I don’t go for an opaque swipe from tube instead I dab on spots of this from the tube on my lips and blend it with my fingers so the I get the colour pretty well but dabbing takes away the paleness to a good extentįor the finish I really love amplified finishes from mac as they are creamy and hydrating along with great colour payoff It was lightly hydrating and comfortable to wear.
It is still a cheerful and wearable shade nonetheless. Chatterbox is a brighter, more colorful shade in comparison It is the kind of neutral pink that doesn't wash me out but it seems to bring out the yellowness in my complexion just a little bit. It had rich, opaque color coverage that applied smoothly and evenly, and the color wore well for five hours. Texture: It comes in the much coveted amplified finish from mac,that is creamy and highly pigmented.
